The cottage is on the Isle de Mazin, close to the village of St Joachim in La Briere regional park. The nearest large town is St Nazaire and the closest ferry crossing is St Malo which is about a 2½ hour drive. Cherbourg and Caen are about a 4 hour drive to Ile de Mazin.
It is also possible to fly to Nantes or Dinan by budget airline and hire a car from the airport.
From the port, follow the signs to Rennes, circumnavigate the town and continue south on the N137.
Look for signs to Nozay and to Blaine on the N171. Take the N171 through Blain and follow the signs to St Nazaire. The road becomes an autoroute and a few miles before St Nazaire there are signs for the La Briere regional Park and Montoir de Bretagne on the D50.
Leave the N171 and take the D50 to St Malo de Guersac and into St Joachim.
Go past the church, the new library and the supermarket and take the next right, D16, to Crossac. Go over a bridge and after about 500m take the (small) left turn onto the Ile de Mazin. After 50m turn right and the cottage is on the left after about 1000m.
